Hayward Update: Coronavirus Response

Dear Hayward Authorized Service Center: In order to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus, we have instructed District Technical Managers (DTMs) to modify their standard practices through Friday, March 27. We have asked them to eliminate: Overnight trips. Customer visits. In-person training and jobsite assistance. During this time, you can continue to count on responsive phone support from your DTM. Don't hesitate to contact your DTM for: Troubleshooting assistance Training needs Parts requests Etc. We also would like to share recommendations intended to protect the health of your employees and customers. Best practices include: Before visiting a jobsite: Inform the homeowner or property manager that you need to 'perform solo' during the service call. Ask that, while you're on site, they communicate with you by phone instead of joining you at the equipment pad. While onsite: Ensure that you are the only person at the equipment pad. Wear gloves. Wipe down the equipment before and after you work it. If possible, bill the customer for the service call instead of collecting payment while on site. After leaving the jobsite, thoroughly sanitize and wash your hands We will continue to evaluate this guidance and share updates as needed.
